About Yuvo
We understand that representation matters — that each of us and each of our communities deserve medical representation. And yet, millions of Americans can't access free or affordable healthcare.
Members of our 100% BIPOC founding team have been FQHC patients or Medicaid beneficiaries; we’ve seen first-hand how medical representation can change lives for the better. We've seen first-hand the compassion and thought that health centers put into providing care to those who need it most.
What if we could better serve the health centers providing care, we wondered?
So in January 2021, Yuvo was born to help every health center provide compassionate care to their entire community. Each day since, we’ve worked to support health centers’ growth, financial sustainability, and independence.
As CEO and Founder, I bring nearly 20 years experience driving healthcare policy and innovation across the payor, provider, and digital health spaces. And our founding team brings and addition 40+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory, managed care, and operations experience.
But most importantly, we bring a unified vision to increase access to primary care by supporting the institutions that have dedicated the most to care for underserved communities. Each member of the founding team is connected to our mission in a deeply personal way. Learn more about Janel's story, Carmelo's, Stephanie's, and mine.
Since our launch, we've grown our expanded our leadership team, — twice actually. We've partnered with health plans like Fidelis Care, as well as with organizations like Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC). We've raised $7.3 million dollars and started working with a fantastic cohort of FHQCs.
Everything we do, we do to enable health centers to better focus on providing care.
With tremendous support for investors such as Brooklyn Bridge Ventures, K50, and Empire State Development's New York Ventures Fund, Yuvo Health supports CHCs in New York and Ohio, with plans to expand across the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions.
