Yuvo Health and Fidelis Care achieve shared savings for Federally Qualified Health Centers, paving way for others seeking value-based care — partnership sets new standard for healthcare delivery in Medicaid landscape

NEW YORK (June 18, 2024) – Yuvo Health, which partners with community health centers to help them gain an advantage in value-based care, and Fidelis Care, a statewide health plan with more than 2.4 million members in New York State and a wholly owned subsidiary of Centene Corporation, today announced that they have achieved shared savings for several Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) partners, including Long Island Select Healthcare, Metro Community Health Centers, Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, and Advantage Care Health Centers in the first year of their value-based contracting program. 

Yuvo Health, alongside its FQHC partners and Fidelis Care, successfully implemented risk adjustment and quality initiatives reflective of its fair, equitable and mutually beneficial agreement that considers the reality of the clinical, administrative, and operational challenges that FQHCs face. These initiatives resulted in a net savings to the network, as well as improvements in key quality metrics.

The unique two-year partnership, which began in January 2022, involves FQHCs, community-based organizations, and Fidelis Care. The successful collaboration highlights the tangible benefits to FQHCs realized in the New York market, while demonstrating the transformative impact of innovative payment models and strategic partnerships. By addressing social care needs and focusing on population health outcomes, Yuvo Health's FQHC partners can continue setting a new standard for healthcare delivery in the Medicaid landscape.
